Ruth's Bonded by V.C. Lancaster

Great plot idea. Amateurish writing. A lot of this just felt like a flight of ideas. I've read better fanfiction.

Ruth was an absolute moron. Her endlessly inane thoughts killed one of my brain cells for each word I read. Plus, an unusually large percentage of her thoughts revolved around sex. Now, this is not slut shaming. I'm saying, as a young, female human being who finds herself in a metal cage with a strange, terrifying beast, she should be thinking more about survival and less about his schlong. In fact, the first thing she wants to do once they escape is to seduce this (possibly married) alien creature she has known a week and shares no commonality aside from being abducted and imprisoned. They cannot understand each other's languages and they don't seem to share any cultural body language.

And who the hell, from the western civilization of Earth, would find themselves forcefully removed of their clothing, then go over to the terrifying, strange beast and ask for a cuddle? WTF is wrong with this chick? She is definitely too stupid to live.

I'm not sure what made me finish this, other than the fact that it was so short. The series absolutely does NOT deserve the high praise it has received.
