Is Love the Answer?
by Uta Isaki
I really love the asexual representation in this manga. It is something that is not often seen in literature in general, including manga and graphic novels. I really liked being able to see Chika become her own person and learn more about asexuality. The manga was cute, informative, and a fun read.
The story for the most part was told well. The pacing was a little off in places and too fast for my liking. I feel like this would have worked better broken up into a couple of different volumes or just a tad longer. That we would could have better pacing and could have gone more into depth into each character. I love that the mangaka showed/told us readers that asexuality is a spectrum and not everyone is the same when it comes to being asexual, so again I LOVE the representation. I just personally feel that better pacing could have allowed the mangaka to show us certain things in the story more instead of needing the character information in the back. Being vague because spoilers.
With all that being said I did enjoy this manga and think it should be read by the masses. I learned a lot of things and really appreciate this story.
