rafi francisco have a true crime podcast and she wants to go viral and put herself out there. she plans on making her podcast about the musical artist river stone. river had a girlfriend who went missing and rafi have a theory that river actually killed her and got away with it.
rafi goes to fly fest for a chance to get alone time with river to find out the truth of that night. fly fest is supposed to be a musical festival but when they land there they find the island to be abandon. there is now hundreds of influencers stuck on this island.
god i hated reading every single word in this book. i really wanted to dnf it but since it’s short i just decided to finish it and hope it got better but it did not. the only good thing about this book is the cover and that’s it. cause every single thing that happens in this book is terrible it have nothing going for it.
we are introduced to many influencers and they’re all white privilege and boy did they annoyed me every time something was spoken out of them. every single one of them are stupid and dumb as fuck. they all make terrible decisions and i believe that none of them have a working brain cell.
i also did not like writing and the choices the author made for these characters made me mad and i ended up cringing with the word choices they made. every single character are rude, terrible and just i don’t see how they can have any followers.
this had such a nice fun cool concept and i just wish the author just didn’t included the whole social media and influencers concept into this book, and maybe she could’ve made a way better story than this was.
this book also have a makeup influencer who doesn’t have any of his makeup with him so he ends up using pig poop on his face. then he makes every single person on this island put pig shit on their face and i just can’t believe that these people went along with it! and the author makes this last from the start of the book till the very last page of this book. i think this author is obsessed with poop with the amount of times that poop is brought up and i just don’t understand why. like i truly think that goldy is a 8 year-old who is obsessed with poop and think it’s the funniest thing ever.
yeah just save your time and don’t read this book. it’s just not worth it. i’m just so disappointed that not a single person actually die in this book. i wanted every character to die cause everything that was coming out of their book was just so annoying and pissed me off.
