Your Table Is Ready: Tales of a New York City Maître D' by Michael Cecchi-Azzolina

2.0

I had hoped for more. At times this seemed like little than a compilation of tales of sex, drugs, and alcohol in the context of the restaurant industry, which doesn’t come out looking that great. In the post-Covid chat room where people thrash out exactly what the issues are with restaurants (tipping policy, lack of staff, arrogant guests etc) this is a fairly entertaining contribution to the conversation but I’m it sure it tells us anything new or different.
