Broken Homes by Ben Aaronovitch

A great continuation of the series. Peter really gets to lean in hard to his whole "I wanted to be an architect" stuff. Lesley gets a little more reconstructive surgery which allows her to get out more and communicate easier. A familiar cast of characters, some new antagonists and you never quite know whether people are just shite, or if they are working for the Big Bad. Yet more geeky pop-culture references, including Blade Runner and others, which always makes me grin.

Hats OFF to Kobna Holdbrook-Smith! Oh wow. I normally die of ick when people start using bits of other languages, but this narrator manages to carry off a conversation between two people who are discussing German names of things, when one of the characters is familiar with the language, and the other struggles a bit. It honestly felt like two distinct people talking in a way that a lot of audiobook narrators cannot pull off. Same again with Russian names. I can forgive a bit of crummy enunciation considering this is supposed to be Brits trying to read Russian, but still, I am very impressed!
