Another pull from the recesses of my 2015 Amazon free ebook vault. I almost DNF'd this because the beginning felt like a real slog, but by about halfway through, it REALLY fucking kicked into high gear. I was honestly unsure if Owen was gaslighting Laura about things because he was a fucking old twat until that point, too. And I *really* disliked the doctor character. I half expected the "horror" to be they locked a perfectly sane woman into a mental health institution for some made up reason, but I'm glad that was not the case.
