Mary Queen of Scots by Antonia Fraser

5.0

i was interested in reading this after watching the 2018 mary queen of scots movie. it's interesting to see how different her characterization was there compared to her real attributes, as revealed through this incredibly detailed deep-dive of her life. i really enjoyed how carefully researched and thorough this book was, and it kept me captivated through all of mary's history, even the long years of her capture in england. i'm definitely interested in reading more fraser and more english history after this - i'm particularly interested in reading more about henry vii, elizabeth i, and james i after seeing snippets of their histories here.
