Ew. I hated this and only finished it because it was short, I wanted to DNF pretty early. Very disappointing because Gone Girl is my favorite thriller but this was terrible. The pig slaughterhouse descriptions were disgusting and disturbing to me, the weird focus and vivid descriptions of the teenage girls and their bodies and the misogyny from Camille, my personal issues with alcoholism and addiction made it hard to read, and then the final “twist” was so incredibly obvious that it was pointless to read to the end.
