This book had me hooked from chapter one. The characters, the setting, the story??? Yes, yes, and yes!! I don’t know how, but this book had me catching myself laughing and smiling several times. The characters were witty, and I feel like in a lot of dark academia books the male love interest is this tough guy, but with Alex you can still see his vulnerable side, which was a new reading experience for me.

Ophelia was also a great FMC. I feel like in most books I either dislike the FMC or the MMC because one of them always annoys me. But in this book I really liked both. And the nickname Twist just HITS.

The only thing I disliked was how they just overlooked the professor as a potential suspect and how Ophelia kept keeping the truth from Alex only to eventually admit it anyway. But that’s just me being nitpicky.

Now the ending. CRAZY. How could Alex not believe her? To be fair, he did not have a lot of time to process, but come on bro, she was with him the entire time. Also, I was sure the professor was the stalker but it seems I have completely lost the plot. I can’t wait for the second book to finally find out who it is because I am genuinely lost now.
