This book is incredibly hard for me to rate - it wasn't entirely what I expected and was repetitive and too long in my opinion but it also has a great found family, some good tidbits when it comes to mental health and great LGBTQIA+ rep. The MMC goes on a big journey centered around mental health grief and learning to love oneself at the same time his basketball career flourishes. I appreciated his struggles (check for CW!) and triumphs and his character growth. Sharing center stage is the romance, both sweet and with plenty of spice. It wasn't entirely for me but if it sounds good to you, give it a try!
