I am so torn on how to rate this book. I won't lie I went into this one assuming that I would not like it, and that it would feel a lot like required reading for school. In the end I did enjoy the story, but there was a lot that I didn't care for. I loved Isabelle and in the end I liked Vianne ( I wasn't sure I would in the beginning), I liked how we weren't 100% sure who the narrator of the story was for did a while, I did also enjoy how it wrapped up. There was a lot in the middle I didn't care for and I had other issues, I also did not love how long it was, but in the end I would never say that I regretted reading this book. I think this would work perfect for fans of historical fiction, and anyone who wants a good cry.
