This book really wasn’t for me. If I’m going to read a contemporary YA coming-of-age story, I wanna see those characters be tortured. This book had a love triangle (or square) take 90% of the plot. I don’t love love triangles to begin with, but it’s fine if it’s a side story. As the main story, it didn’t work for me at all. At least the writing was pretty good. The ending started to get good with some of the more serious themes that were brought in, but since most of the book I found insufferable, it only pulled it out of the nosedive enough to land at 2 stars.
