If you're someone who's looking for an easy-to-follow paranormal romance, then The Devil You Know is a good place to start! This was quite the entertaining read and, at times, it felt like watching an episode of a tv series. Several events are taking place one after the other so there isn't any time wasted in terms of the timeline. Some scenes were funny and I have to admit some of these nicknames made me cackle (perfect choice).

I think the issue I encountered was that it felt as if we were missing - something - about the main couple. Some parts were narrated and not shown and, using the tv show analogy, it felt as if we picked up somewhere in the middle of season one and we missed the first few episodes. Which meant I couldn't fall in love with them the way I wanted to (a fact that made me sad because I was really excited for them). Moreover, as things were taking place literally in the span of one night at least until 50% through the book, the way the relationship progressed felt a bit rushed for me. Maybe a bit more development and more past interactions to establish Cam and Giselle's chemistry and the significance of their relationship would've added more to this! At least for me of course. More of a build-up would've made all the difference! :)

The steaminess score was high with this one! So surely keep an eye out for that.
Overall, a fun and quick-to-read paranormal book!
