Frankissstein by Jeanette Winterson

1.0

sat on this one for a couple weeks after finishing and i must say i remember almost nothing about it. the prose carried while execution and frankly transphobic portrayals bogged it down. i can appreciate the writing of an ai-obsessed techbro trans chaser and his unfortunately cursed boyfriend though. + i too live in doubleness.
ultimately there is a failed sense of intellectualism going on here. nice stylistic choices overworking themselves in an attempt to say anything and failing at even that. i do want to read some of winterson's other stuff though i feel like she's got potential to be good.
i wonder if my prof also has lukewarm at best opinions on this to make it required reading umm
