A very strong start to a fantastic fantasy series. The story and world-building were complex and well developed. The characters were very interesting and the magic system was also surprisingly unique. The setting was perfect! This book was already so good but it left a lot of opportunities for the next books in this series and I think I'm going to enjoy them even more than this first one. I'm excited!
