Craigslist Confessional: A Collection of Secrets from Anonymous Strangers
by Helena Dea Bala
Fully thought out review to come, but until then—
This is an immensely sad book. Extremely moving and fascinating, and so so sad. The stories felt varied and were written in distinct voices, which I really appreciated. Very many trigger warnings, including: suicide and suicidal ideation, molestation, rape, pedophilia, cancer, death, abortion, miscarriage, blood, wrongful incarceration, abuse, and I’m sure more that I can’t remember.
This is a powerful and—if you’re in the right headspace—worthwhile read. But again, deeply sad.
