The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

4.0

A really stunning and heartbreaking memoir. Jeannette’s complex and poignant relationship with her father, and to a lesser degree her mother, is moving, and does such a good job of showing the nuance and complication of relationships with people who have undergone trauma and who live messy and hurtful lives as a consequence. Overall, a beautiful reflection on family, love, and hardship.
