This book had an interesting mix of romance and mystery. I enjoyed Sloan discovering herself after her accident and trying to solve the case. The side characters are all extremely likable. I loved Sloan’s sister, parents and neighbors. The family dynamics were well done and added a nice aspect to the thriller. I didn’t love the main female character. She’s a strong woman but something about her rubbed me the wrong way. We learned a lot about her job and work done on her house but I felt like I didn’t get to know her. I did like how everything came together in the ending.
