Merci Suárez Changes Gears by Meg Medina
5.0
EXTREME SPOILER ALERT
DO NOT READ WITHOUT READING THE BOOK FIRST
so this book is about a girl living in florida with many problems including
School bullies, homework, her twin brothers, painting rooms in extreme heat, and wanting a bike so extremely bad but not being able to do so due to lack of funds, but on top of all that and tight living, her grandpa is getting alzheimers disease and starting to not seem like himself anymore.
So over a span of about 5 months, she seems to resolve most of her problems, but also faces the hard truth that lolo can never change back. I like this book because it was detailed, had likeable characters, and insane cliffhangers to keep the reader hooked.
