The Captain's Bluestocking Mistress by Erica Ridley

I think this is where I leave this series. I quite liked the prequel novella, I was disappointed with the first book in the series, but gave the series a second chance. This had even more issues for me than the previous one - some of the language choices struck me as downright bizarre (since when did a 19th century gentleman use "shite" in conversation with a lady without it even causing remark?!) - and both the hero and the heroine irritated me. Still it was a quick read for a nightshift meal break. I'd give this 1.5 stars if I could, but I'll be nice and give it two, if only because I hate leaving really negative reviews.
