Needle Felting for Beginners: How to Make Cute Felt Creations with Minimal Tools by Ari Yoshinobu

2.0

This was an odd little book. While it included enough helpful information to send me to the craft store and get me looking at online tutorials, it was not sufficient to get anyone started on the hobby.

It had very verbose. (often repetitive) instructions, but sometimes not sufficiently clear, and never with accompanying pictures. There was a strange reference to using noses you made from "the Isabelle project" supposedly mentioned earlier in the book. Spoiler alert, folks: the book contains no Isabelle project. Also, the bear pictured on the cover is a farce! No instructions are included in the book for a project like this. Strangely, however, multiple wool beading projects were included that have nothing to do with needle felting.

So altogether, props for introducing me to a new fiber art and detailing the tools needed for many projects. But this one was a head-scratcher and definitely requires some follow-up reading.
