"Save Your Breath" is the fourth book in Kings of Ice series, and while you can definitely dive into it without reading the previous books, it’s a ride worth taking if you enjoy a good mix of tension, romance, and a dash of hockey of course. This one blends hockey, pop stars, friends-to-lovers, and fake dating tropes into one exciting, swoon-worthy read.
Even with all these elements, it somehow all clicks together perfectly. The tension between Alek and Mia is excruciating, and the slow burn had me hooked from the start. As expected with Steiner’s books, there’s plenty of angst, but it’s the good kind—the kind that makes you root for the characters even more as they figure things out.
Alek has so many layers to him, making him a fascinating character to follow as he navigates his complicated relationship with himself as well as Mia. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and their development as a couple felt organic and satisfying.
The supporting characters also brought a lot of charm, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the book.
All in all, "Save Your Breath" is another  hit by Steiner. It’s a perfect blend of romance, tension, and lovable characters. If you’re looking for a book that has—sizzling chemistry, character growth, and a plot that keeps you hooked—grab this one.
