It's A Vampire Christmas

As soon as I heard that Ms. Davis was going to be writing a story set around Christmas with paranormal creatures including vampires I knew I had to have this book in my hot little hands as soon as was humanly possible. The additional bonus is that this is a menage story which have steadily moved up my favorite genre list. And as is typical Ms. Davis takes the story and the reader on an epic tale of love, intrigue and villainous characters.
Our heroes have been hunting for a lost artifact and have stumbled upon its acquisition at an antique story. But these two men’s quest has included the addition of a female mate to solidify and strengthen their bond. Fortunately both quests may very well be accomplished with one trip to New York City. These two men are so different in character but after reading this book an additional time this weekend you really see the complexity of not just their individuality but what makes their relationship so unique. Both men are strong and yet have true ‘human’ failings that really speaks to the soul of their combined complexity as a pair.
And the spunkiness and grit of the heroine is what truly encapsulates this story. She is a woman that refuses to be placed to the side and has the ability to ‘play ball’ with two vampires that might otherwise be able to overpower or intimidate her. She isn’t afraid to tell both of these men exactly what she wants and that they are wrong.
The addition of magic, demons and a few other paranormal creatures to this world make it a true delight to read. There are many ways this world can be shaped and I will look forward in the months/years to come to see how it is fleshed out.
Looking for passion between the three characters? Check. Looking for a romance that will make you wish you could live in this world full time? Check. Want a story set at Christmas time with a little more bang for your buck? Double Check.
Final Thoughts: This is a wonderful start to a new series by Ms. Davis that I will pick up as soon as they are released and I strongly encourage you to do the same.
