The first half of this book is just convincing the main character that magic is real. And while it could be understandable, it takes away from the fact that this is, at its core, a romance.
The plot was also just not great.
The fact that, in essence, the plot is "crazed aunt hatches crazy plan to get her nephew laid" but it's done in such a weird way that instead of being a funny cooky time, it's just like, all of that for THIS?

The magic system and society were interesting, but it wasn't really focused on much. It was mostly just a vehicle for sexy time.
Spice: 3/5
