Sworn by Sarah K.L. Wilson

5.0

Dragon School: Sworn sees the return of Amel and her purple dragon Raolcan. They have just managed to rescue Savette and Leng and escape the Magika who were torturing them. The danger isn’t over though as now they are being hunted, and Amel is still looking at being kicked out of Dragon School. But Amel is about to learn some secrets of things that have been going on. Amel meets some friends of Leng who help them out. Savette is broken in ways that will take time to heal, but there is more to her now. When she touched the magic, it affected her and has potentially changed her as well. Now, the possibility of her being a danger to herself and others is all too real. Amel now has to worry about her friend, her feelings for Leng, and will soon meet a legend among the dragon riders.
Dragon School: Sworn is book five in Sarah K.L. Wilson’s Dragon School series. True to form this book keeps you engaged from start to finish. I love that this story picks up right where Ruby Isles ended. This book introduces us to new characters, new secrets, and even some unforeseen dangers. Amel has got her work cut out for her, but she will have help taking on the challenges that lie ahead. I like how the story continues to develop and evolve with each book.
There isn’t anything that I don’t like about this book. Amel continues to develop as a character, and I like that we get to see the romance develop further. Though I have to say the twist concerning the romance is unexpected, but interesting.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you have read the first four books in this series, then I highly recommend you pick this book up and read it. I look forward to reading the next book in this series and continuing the journey with Amel in her quest to save those she cares about and become a full fledged Dragon Rider.
