Meche was a little shit who did not deserve her ending. This story spans from 1988 to 2009 and yet despite all that time, our main character barely grows as a person. I spent the entire time wondering when Meche was finally going to realize what a terror she had been back at 15 and genuinely apologize for her mistakes, but was left wanting. Despite my dislike for Meche, I really enjoyed the rest of this book. It was fun getting to slowly watching the friend group unravel while also dealing with the aftermath 2 decades later.
