Did not finish book. Stopped at 29%.
I couldn't get past the uneasy feeling that FMC is 17 when she meets a 34-year-old man, who turns out to be her friend's father and the ex-boyfriend of the woman who takes her in while she runs away from a home where her father beats her.

She has known nothing but an abusive father and an absent mother, so perhaps psychotherapy would be more useful than becoming attached to a man twice her age. A man who should have put the brakes on this relationship when he learned of the FMC's age and past.

In short, I couldn't go on with this book in good conscience.
