I only picked this off the shelf because Joker was on it, and I wanted to see what he had to do with thwarting superman. I was so pleasantly surprised, because this is funny and brilliant and absurd and all around fun. I laughed out loud a couple of times, which is rare for me. What a mind Jeph Loeb has to create new interesting characters, as well as twist the ones we know into an alternate, crazy, fantastic world. I was wondering where Batman would fit in - and his role was perfectly thought out and completely appropriate. Loved it. Great change of pace from the gritty justice league of the last decade.
