I feel like the author did so much world building in first book but there was barely any scenes where the MCs are actually at dreamland? Kinda takes away from the theme of the trilogy. There are a billion romance books about brooding billionaires - if you are going to have a point of difference… then keep that up? And not like an after thought “oh I want a dreamland Tokyo let’s go there” when book is nearly finished?

Also felt like the MCs relationships had already started building in first book which lead me to feel by end of book 1 to be excited for this book, but picking up this book I feel like it was back to square one. Plus the author during first book leads reader to feel that the father was regretting his actions through his children’s childhood and wanting to turn his life around…this book throws all that under the bus unnecessarily. I’m ¾ through and I don’t like any of the characters anymore. Also the suggestion that Iris has work stockholder syndrome is too eerily accurate to make me actually feel like her relationship with Declan is healthy at all. Wouldn’t recommend this book tbh.
