I listens to the audiobook. The jumping between perspective was done well. The author showed good awareness of social issues and different identities; it was displayed in an organic way. I appreciated that this book made me realize the different ways one could interpret the whole “knowing when your life ends.” Of course (I hope like others) I have imagined what it would be like to know when your life ends… but my imagination only focused on the personal anxiety… not on the social repercussions such as discrimination. The story lines were pretty predictable (but there’s a chance it was also predictable bc we knew when certain characters would die.) Nonetheless I did also appreciate the emphasis and power of community. I liked how all the characters one way or another were connected. Que sera, sera.
