Misfortune Bay: The Loss of the Albatross by Alex Hickey
2.0
I was prepared to rate this book much higher, for the first 100 pages were fascinating and well-written. Then the book veers off course with the stories of John Millais, which didn't interest me and seemed awkwardly placed after the exciting first part of the book. As there was no official investigation into the accident, there was nothing more to tell, so the reflections of Millais appear to fill out the book. Buy this for the first half.
