Not a Happy Family by Shari Lapena

2.0

as much as I wanted to enjoy this book, I honestly didn’t. it was definitely a murder mystery where it seems everyone in the family could have done it. there were so many secrets, lies, past trauma and deception with everyone that you really couldn’t figure out who did it because everyone seemed like the perfect suspect! I do feel like the story and mystery was drawn out longer than it needed to be. and it’s not until the very last few pages that you find out who did it.

not gonna lie, I did come close to dnf-ing this one. but I was a little intrigued to find out who did it. the pro to the book was there are short chapters, which I loved!
