Truthfully, I don't have a ton to say about Hang the Moon. This felt like a pretty average romcom to me and while I hoped it would stand out a little more than Written in the Stars, it didn't really "wow" me.

The beginning started out strong - giving me my favorite trope ever: friends-to-lovers. Except, rather than it being a lifelong friends situation, these two knew each other through someone else (Darcy from the first book) and were more acquaintances than anything else. There was a bit of unrequited crush/he falls first happening for sure, but it became more of a pining thing than something soft and sweet, leaving a bit of a bad taste in my mouth for the romance overall.

My favorite part of the entire book was the ferris wheel conundrum. The whole scene had me laughing aloud over and over - and cringing from secondhand embarrassment. If the rest of the book had been that cute and comical, I would've appreciated it so much more.

If I'm being really honest, I don't remember much else about the story. I read it only a couple of weeks ago, so clearly, that states how little it stood out to me among all the other romances I've read this year. It was cute, but nothing I'd really jump at the chance to read again.
