Pros: It is such a breath of fresh air to read a dark romance that sets these characters up to be, for lack of better words, messed up, in a realistic way. I can see how the life these characters lead bring them to where they are and impact how they interact and feel about each other and the rest of the cast of characters.
The dark military world was done really well, and felt super immersive.
The give and take and power dyamics between the two main characters created some seriously hot tension.

Cons: the pacing at the end lost me. I genuinely think this could have been broken up in to two stories with the

years spent apart were detailed and led up to the tragic ending we got to see. Also WHY DID THE ENTIRE CAST HAVE TO DIE, but coincidentally, we didn't lose the 3 main characters? It felt too easy sometimes.

Overall, I'm glad I read it and the sprayed edges are super cute.
