Ghostromance

Okay, so … this would probably be five stars if it were combined with the other books, or at the very least a box set, but unfortunately it’s not. They’re published as novella sized bites and despite being labeled and advertised in the blurb as a unique reverse harem series, this first “book” only has one M/F budding relationship and it feels very… incomplete (and not just in a slow burn way). It ends on a cliffy, not a horrible one but with a million unanswered questions.
I REALLY liked the characters though and I love the concept, I love Esper & her soft spots despite a hardened exterior due to mistreatment, and I love that Toma is this ethereal genderfluid person completely liberated both sexually and gender expression wise. I will definitely read/listen to the next one, it’s just an odd publishing choice that I know others may not tolerate.
