First off, ARGH, CLAYTON, YOU LYING BASTARD WHYYYYYY?! I KNEW I WAS RIGHT NOT TO LIKE YOU.
Okay, hiding the fact you were a ticking timebomb and would inevitably die was a dick move, albeit heavily foreshadowed. BUT HOW DARE YOU LIE ABOUT MOLLY'S FERTILITY?! DID YOU NOT SEE THE CONSEQUENCES, YOU DICK FACE?!

Burn for You is the conclusion to the Molly/Mephisto saga, and if you were reading between the lines of the first two books, Clayton's death will not come as a great surprise. Even though it does for Molly and Mephisto.
So I had kind of guessed the inevitable would happen and then this book would be about Molly and Mephisto getting together.
What I did not expect was for Molly to go COMPLETELY OFF THE RAILS. I mean, bloody hell, girl. Clayton handled the whole thing completely wrong, seriously. I commend Mephisto for not giving up on you, despite the abuse levelled at him in the first third of the book. Seriously, I was speechless. Poor Mephisto (I never thought I'd say that).
The best thing about this book was the character growth. Both Molly and Mephisto change and grow as characters throughout the novel, for the better, I believe. We see more of Mephisto's lighter side (and Molly does too), and we see the old Molly that Mephisto fell in love with a long time ago.
And, you know what, I also loved Eliot. I am happy he was not vilified or made into a complete asshole; he was just so kind, and caring and gentle.I am glad Mephisto hid his jealousy well enough to allow Molly to explore a non-kinky relationship and discover for herself that that really didn't work for her. He was someone Molly really needed in her life, despite everything, and I'm glad for him.
I was completely not expecting the fun side of Mephisto, but OH MY GOD. THE ROLEPLAY. If you can keep a straight face through that scene, I take my metaphorical hat off to you.
And the baby! MY WARM FUZZY METER WAS EXPLODING WITH JOY AT HOW CUTE A COUPLE MOLLY AND MEPHISTO WERE!!!
Despite my rage at Clayton, oh my god.
I think, by the end of the novel, Molly and Mephisto are quite unrecognisable from the characters they were at the beginning of the series. This, in my opinion, is a good thing. They were both damaged and unhappy in their own ways, and I was so happy for the happily ever after. They deserved it. (Though it took me a long while to warm up to Molly, I eventually did. That's a sign of good writing!)
The series is worth it just for this book, I swear. I liked Club Mephisto and I enjoyed Molly's Lips, but I LOVED this one. :) This could probably be read as a standalone (the backstory is explained enough), but I think it is probably better read in the context of the other books in the series.
