the cover of this book is exactly how my brain looked like trying to understand what is going on, and i loved every moment of it. such an interesting and provoking sequel!!! i absolutely loved what it does stylistically and formatting-wise, and this novel is a full, all encompassing example of its themes down to the fonts and colours picked up for chapters, and i love when an author believes so much not only in the strength of their storytelling, but in the virtues and interest of their readers. 

glad to have pushed through, because the moments of 'eureka!' were brilliant, and testament to the glorious weirdness and excellence of this world of vandermeer.
