Something Fierce: Memoirs of a Revolutionary Daughter by Carmen Aguirre

3.0

While I enjoyed this book, at times it felt patchy, the narrative skipping disjointedly through space and time. I also felt like important details were purposefully left out - perhaps for security reasons? Although it was a deeply personal memoir, I found myself in particular questioning why Carmen's sister Ale, so much a presence in the earlier part of the book, faded into the background. Still, this book is gripping, and an enjoyable read. The read for all Canadians though? Not sure...
