As someone who grew up being told the agenda spouted by the purity myth… I wish I would’ve read this book years ago. As a teenager. It really lays out all the ways the purity myth is harmful, ways I have and have not considered. I would recommend this book to every woman I know. It’s a shame that there’s even a need for this book, but as women it’s important that we do the work so future generations can be more secure in themselves and their sexuality.

Thank you Jessica Valenti for putting together your thoughts with evidence and ways for readers to become involved in the movement.
