The Summer I Died by Ryan C. Thomas
3.0

Two buddies hanging out while one is home from college for the summer are confronted with horrors they never could have imagined.

This book definitely has horrifying down, if just for the body horror and gore alone. But thats all it really was, shocking and uncomfortable but not much else. The author tried to make big revelations about God throughout and luck and purpose but it falls a little flat in my opinion, like an after thought.

Also TW for Racist, Sexist, and homophpbic jokes made by pretty much everyone in this book, it's the only humor really in the story. Besides that overall it was an average horror story.
