Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

This was such a joy to read. An adventure for sure.

Alosa was such an interesting character and I loved the way she thought, analysed things and strategized her next moves. She was arrogant but in a way that made sense and wasn't too annoying. Alosa was, after all, a princess. It is expected of her to be at least a tiny bit self-absorbed. I, for one, loved her.

I loved the romance in this story, the implementation of magic and sirens, the adventures and everything related to pirates. I also loved the different characters we got to know and the way we were introduced to them without feeling like there was an overload of information. The pacing of the story was fine, the writing was great and the overall world building was okay.

Like I said before, the romance and chemistry between the two main characters was what really sold it for me.
