Rereading this book as given me a better appreciation to the pregnancy trope. It's not a spoiler, it's laid out right there for you in the first two chapters. But the way Lizzy and Ben's relationship starts and progresses is almost natural and almost cleansing. I am not sure where the pregnancy trope went wrong for me, this book has never left a bad taste in my mouth because of it.
