This story was a wild ride, but i mean it in the best way possible. From the beginning, we’re thrown straight into Riven and Asa’s very different but very intriguing lives. Action packed with such loveable characters, this book took me less than a week to finish (which is incredibly fast for me) and i loved it.

Some faults, however, are the use of repetitive phrases that maybe only i noticed. Phrases such as ‘he had her right where he wanted her’ is repeated about 4 times within the space of 2 chapters. Just little things that drew me out of the story and back into reality, tbh.

There’s also a slight issue with a little too much world building. Every single object was described and although i do love a sci-fi/cyberpunk style setting, please, for the love of god, hold back on the level of description. I do neither need nor want to know about the bright red sparks floating out of an elaborate drink when the main characters are about to get their asses beat.

But that’s pretty much it for faults—this story was a breeze but simultaneously very enjoyable. Would 100% recommend.
