I didn't know what to expect (apart from the format), so the plot totally ambushed me. Holy shit, this book punched me in the face so many times, now I need medical attention.
Half a point deducted for the style (if I have to read the word "chum" or "lollipop" one more time, I swear to god), but otherwise, very solid YA novel.
