Godkiller by Hannah Kaner
4.0

what started out as a solid 3 star read ended up at 4.5

hannah kaner writes these characters so well and realistically that by the end of the tale, it’s impossible to not be on their side. they are woven so tightly into the story and into each other’s stories that it would be an impossible task to remove one and feel nothing. kaner has a talent for making every character feel so real and fleshed out, from all of our narrators to the lovely loyal horse (ily legs) by their sides. the plot and the world building is nothing to ignore either, so intricate and detailed that it feels like falling into a piece of history.

a slow start but a fiery (hah) ending. i loved loved loved ina and skedi with my entire heart and i cannot wait to see them again.

edit: also, i knew it (inara)! i knew it!!!!
