I really loved both main characters, January & Gus. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers trope & watching the characters fall in love with each other. I did think the book & writing style were a little slow at times, but looking back, the “slowness” was necessary for character & plot development. I hurt so deeply when reading the last few chapters because it transported me to a time in my life when I felt like January did - second best. I think her character is brave & resilient, and for that I give it a 4 star. 🤍
