Considering the fact that Romeo and Juliet was my teenage obsession, this was rather underwhelming to me. The premise is incredibly intriguing but to me it felt like an underdeveloped fanfic. There's potential and there were certainly moments I loved. Most of the time, however, I was bored and found myself unable to focus. 
Unfocused writing. Underdeveloped characters. Preachy on how bad communism and the west is. Where’s the chemistry between Romeo and Juliet? 
I’m mostly annoyed tbh.
