I heard about this book on Twitter, and then my sister got an advance review copy at the ALA conference for us to read. I am now going to go to the store to actually buy the book and give the author all my money.

I just finished reading The Ten Thousand Doors of January, and I'm consumed by that wonderful feeling of satisfaction, joy, sorrow, and Love when you complete a truly wonderful book. I actually feel like I just fell in love. This is one of those books, I think, that you read and then you keep rereading forever because it's so magical.

This novel presents a book within a book. The main character, January, discovers a magic door, and then she discovers a book written by a man who says that there multitudes of magic doors. It's a novel about adventure, family, magic, love, and stories. And it was so, so good.

Update: finished this book hours ago, still basking. I feel like I just finished reading about Narnia or Hogwarts for the first time. And I don't know what I'm supposed to do with my life now that I've read about the Doors. This book was so deeply satisfying, I can't handle it.
