Vivid world to the point of terror at how prescient a lot of the "predictions" this book made. Obviously a work of fiction and one with a very negative outlook on human nature (although an argument could be made that it's more about human nature under a system like modern capitalism) but with a terrifying feeling that at least some of what butler proposes is likely to happen. <Spoiler> neo slavery and water crises leading to violence in particular seem to have a dark tinge of reality to them
Graphic: Gun violence, Pedophilia, Rape, Sexual violence, Slavery, Violence, Cannibalism, and Abandonment
