I entered into this book thinking it would just be a quick smut book and I will admit that I seriously underestimated it! Sure, there is lots of good smut but there is also a brilliant plot and some really enjoyable charters. I highly recommend this book if you liked [b:A Court of Mist and Fury|17927395|A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2)|Sarah J. Maas|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1546406996l/17927395._SY75_.jpg|25126749] but this booked seemed to be aimed at a slightly more mature audience and has much less of a ridiculously over the top and complicated plot.

From the very beginning there was great world building yet it was very much a learn as you go book not waiting time with a slow beginning explanation. I really liked the idea of the demons and how they are described in this book.

I will say that something I wasn't too keen on was that the book isn't written from either main character's perspective but rather a their person combination of both making it somewhat hard to follow at times but it let us know what both characters were thinking without changing perspective each chapter (which I hate!)

Initially I thought that the bond would be like mating bonds in other series like [b:A Court of Thorns and Roses|16096824|A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)|Sarah J. Maas|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1546406962l/16096824._SY75_.jpg|21905102] or [b:Significance|35534230|Significance (Significance, #1)|Shelly Crane|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1498699124l/35534230._SY75_.jpg|16680623] but the Anchor bond can be purely platonic, there isn't a forced romance between the two main characters. There is however, a romantic mating that occurs between demons in the book though so don't worry if that was the kind of bond you were after. Having both bonds was something that made this book unique and it was something I really liked.

I have to add a comment saying how much I appreciated the brilliant side charters. They have a somewhat similar dynamic to that of the Night Court in ACOTAR (there is also the similarities of demon factions and leaders.) The minor characters really enhanced the plot and made this book so much better than just another YA smut. I seriously loved Lou haha!

This book is seriously sexy! From the first moment the main characters meet there is some spicy chemistry and it was exactly what I wanted a demon smut book!

I keep saying that this book was similar to ACOTAR but it was also very unique and seriously has some great qualities that make it an exciting read. If you even remotely liked ACOTAR or PRN books then you have to give this book a chance. I did and I seriously enjoyed my time reading it!
